A successful bet where preservation of heritage rhymes with tourist development
Our approach is based on a virtuous cycle where each stage of restoration opens the way to new tourism opportunities, thus making it possible to finance future projects and ensure lasting sustainability for the castle.
Since 2018, more than 138,000 visitors have come to discover the incredible magic of the estate
de la Mothe Chandeniers. There are also more than 200 volunteer projects and 70 events which, for 5 years, have brought the most romantic ruin in the world back to life.
Since 1918 we have invested more than 5 million euros in saving the castle, the sublimation of the plant ruin, sustainable tourist infrastructure and the creation of a visitor route rich in emotions.
The restoration of the castle
Phase 1: 2018 - 2020
The extraordinary construction site and the rescue of the castle.
Between 2018 and 2020, we invested over €1.1 million in equity to undertake an ambitious renovation to save the castle. This major project stabilised and secured the castle’s structures, ending 100 years of decline and degradation.
Thanks to these efforts, La Mothe Chandeniers was able to be opened to the public for the first time, in 2018, thus transforming an abandoned heritage into a living tourist attraction.
This first phase not only saved the castle but also laid the foundations for a new chapter dedicated to its tourist development.
Phase 2: 2025 - 2026
Improvement of the visitor route and restoration of the courtyard and the main staircase
This new phase aims to enrich our tour route by making the courtyard and the grand staircase accessible. The grand staircase of the Mothe Chandeniers is one of the most emblematic rooms of the castle.
It takes its architectural style from the famous " François Ier" staircase at the Château de Blois.
The main courtyard, with its majestic dimensions and emblematic architectural elements, as well as the main staircase, a true masterpiece of interior architecture, will be completely restored.
This preservation work will aim not only to maintain the historical beauty of the castle but also to offer a more immersive and captivating visit route.
The tourist development of the castle
Phase 1: 2021 - 2023
Tourism investments (development of the 2-hectare park, creation of the largest event space in northern Vienna and opening of 4 eco-lodges)
We have invested heavily in the tourism and economic project in order to give ourselves the means to develop our restoration program over the next 20 years.

This ambitious project aims to further develop our tourism offering with the creation of junior suites.
The conversion of the adjoining house into quality accommodation will complement our ecolodges, diversifying our offering and enriching the visitor experience, while creating new economic opportunities for our chateau.

An unmissable castle
La Mothe Chandeniers rewarded by the guides.
Since 2022, La Mothe Chandeniers has been honored three years running by the Michelin Green Guide to Loire Valley Castles, earning a green star in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
What's more, the château was voted "Coup de Coeur" in the "1000 places you must see in France" guide, confirming its status as a national heritage gem not to be missed.
These distinctions testify to the success of our collective efforts to bring this exceptional site back to life.

Breakdown of your investment in the company's development
How can I subscribe to a share or offer a share purchase voucher (box)?
The share without the box: for yourself or your minor child only.
If you wish to purchase one or more shares for yourself or your minor child, without the box, simply click on the "INVEST" button.
The share with the box: To offer yourself a share purchase voucher with the "Ma Part du Château" collector's box, simply click on the button: "INVEST VIA THE GIFT BOX".
If you would like more than one box, simply indicate the number of boxes you would like to receive on the form.
Inside, you'll find a card with a unique number (16 digits) and a unique code that you'll need to activate the box.
The box must be activated as soon as it is received and before the end of the campaign. After this time, the value of the voucher it represents will be transformed into an anonymous donation to SAS Châteaux Merveilles and the beneficiary of the voucher/box will not benefit from the associated share and will therefore not be a shareholder. The value of the share purchase voucher and the associated delivery charges cannot be reimbursed to the purchaser.
Note 2: Box delivery
Boxes are sent out every month.
For boxes sent outside France, delays may be added due to postal and customs specificities of each country.
Please note that if several vouchers (boxes) are ordered, only one delivery address may be indicated. In order to send the boxes to several different addresses, you will need to repeat the procedure for each box.
The IR PME scheme allows income tax payers to reduce the amount of their tax by 18% of the sums invested in the capital of French and European SMEs.

The amount of the tax reduction is calculated on the basis of payments made during
the following conditions:
✓ Subscription to the initial capital or a capital increase of an unlisted SME (BOI-IR-RICI-90-10-20) before 31 December of the current tax year.
✓ Conservation by the taxpayer of the securities acquired for at least 5 years from the date of subscription.
✓ Be an individual whose tax residence is in France.
✓ Carry forward the investment to the 2042 C tax return.
What amounts?
> €50,000 investment for a single person, i.e. a maximum tax reduction of €12,500
> €100,000 for married or civil union couples (joint taxation) for a maximum tax reduction of €25,000.
Please note that The rate of tax reduction has changed (see table below).
Please note that the tax benefits linked to the IR-PME scheme are not compatible with those linked to an investment via PEA or PEA-PME.
Please note: vouchers purchased for a third party are not eligible for tax relief under IR.
The value of the box is not included in the value of your investment.
Good to know: Parents can claim tax relief on their minor child's share.

Your tax receipt corresponds to your subscription form. It will be issued and sent by email at the end of the investment campaign.
